Published: October 02, 2017
The Seed Money Facility of the Danube Transnational Programme is a fund to support the development of projects contributing to the EU Danube Region Strategy. The project ideas will be subsidised to reach a certain level of maturity and to prepare their later submission in other European, national or regional funding programmes. This development phase funded by the seed money facility covers the analysis of the needs and challenges addressed by the main project, the preparation of the work plan for the main project, the setting up of the partnership as well as the analysis of the possible funding instruments for the main project.
Project initiatives contributing to Priority Area 1a – Inland navigation must target one of the following specific topics:
- Improvement of fairway conditions along the Danube and its navigable tributaries
- Modernisation of the inland waterway fleet
- Reduction of administrative barriers in Danube navigation
The Monitoring Committee of the Danube Transnational Programme will select maximum 3 projects per Priority Area.
The maximum budget of a seed money project is EUR 50,000.00. The maximum Programme co-financing amount is up to 85% of the total budget, therefore EUR 42,500.00. The co-financing rate applies to all seed money project partners.
The maximum project duration (implementation of project activities) is 12 months.
Project partners must either be governmental bodies, international organisations or private non-profit bodies. Private enterprises are not eligible to participate in the seed money projects.
The first call will be open until 7 December 2017. Please note that we can only guarantee to issue a Declaration of Alignment which you need for application, if you submit your proposal to us by 29 October 2017 (and if all other criteria are met).
